If you saw my MUA Haul post then you'll know that I got one of the new products from the Undress Your Skin range, the Radiant Under Eye Concealer.

This is currently on an introductory offer for just £2 so I thought I'd give it a try. It has a brush applicator and you twist the base of the pen to release the product into the brush. It's recommended for use under the eyes and around the nose to conceal dark circles and brighten the skin.
The Radiant Under Eye Concealer only comes in one shade which was fine for me but this may be a problem for people with darker skin tones. As far as it being described as a concealer I'm not so sure, it's actually got quite a bit of sparkle in it (you can't tell from the photo) and the first time I used it I put it under my eyes, around my nose and on a couple of blemishes and later realised that in certain lights it looks pretty sparkly so I'd say it's definitely more of a highlighter than a concealer as it doesn't actually give amazing coverage as a concealer.
I found it quite drying under my eyes which I do have problems with as far as some concealers are concerned, the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer was also very drying on my skin so it's not just this one.
Overall I'd say that as far as concealers go the MUA Radiant Under Eye Concealer was not for me and I think it should possibly be renamed as a highlighter. I'll probably use it as a highlighter for my brow bone or cheek bone because the sparkle is quite nice it's just not what I want under my eyes.
So if it's a concealer you're looking for I'd definitely try one of MUA's other concealers such as the Cover And Conceal Wand which I also got in my haul and I really like, a full review of that product will be posted on my blog very soon! If you'd like to try the Radiant Under Eye Concealer for yourself then pop to your local Superdrug or buy online on the MUA Website.
Has anyone else tried this product and if so what were your thoughts, let me know!

I debated buying this to try, but I love my Touché Éclat too much xx

Nothing beats the Touche Eclat, I just can't always afford to buy it :( xx
DeleteOh dear, I really wouldn't want sparkles on an area I am trying to conceal! xx
ReplyDeleteI know that's exactly what I thought :) xx
DeleteIt's a great price, but not something I'd buy after reading this review. Don't want sparkles.

Sparkles in concealer is not a good thing, not sure why they're calling it a concealer to be honest, I did love the other MUA concealer I bought though so look out for a review on that coming soon :) xx
DeleteDoesn't sound great! Good thing you only paid £2 for it, so disappointing when a product doesn't meet your expectations.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your review of their other concealer as I'm thinking of doing a MUA order soon! Need to get me those palettes :)
