Milani Baked Blush!

I watch a lot of US Beauty Guru videos on Youtube and this product kept popping up again and again so I decided I had to get my hands on one of these!
This is how Milani describe their Baked Blushes "A luxurious powder blush that features a mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Easy to use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily luminous. Silky smooth application leaves your face looking healthy and radiant all day."

Milani Baked Blush in Corallina

You can't get these in the UK but they're really easy to get hold of on Ebay, I think this cost about £8 including postage which I thought was pretty good!

I got this in the shade Corallina which is a gorgeous coral colour with a highlighting shade swirled in to it, it does have some sparkle to it but I found that the sparkle rubs off quite easily if you don't like it by just going over it a few times with your blusher brush.

I personally like the sparkle and think it's a perfect blusher for going out in the evening and especially in summer when you've got a tan.

When you open the blusher it actually has another compartment in the bottom with a mirror and a brush, I wouldn't use the brush but the mirror is always handy to have.

I really like this blusher and I don't own anything else like it, it comes in a range of shades and I think the other shades aren't as sparkly as Corallina so if you're put off by sparkles then don't fear there are other less glittery shades.

I'm really glad I got this and I might even get some of the other shades when I've got some spare cash. What do you think? My US followers have probably had these for ages so let me know if there are other shades you would recommend me to try!

April Glossy Box - Natural Beauty Edition

I feel like I've been waiting an eternity for this months Glossy Box to arrive, it finally came today and after last months amazing Harrods Edition I thought this months box might have been disappointing but I was pleasantly surprised.

This months theme is natural beauty and the box is 100% biodegradable. This time it contains five natural beauty products, here's what I got.

First up is Monu Moisture Rich Collagen Cream 50ml which I believe is full size and worth £17.50!
I really like the sound of the anti-aging properties in this product but I'm a little put off by the fact that this appears to be for dry skin and I have oily skin so I'm not sure if this will work for me, I'll give it a try though.

Next I got Burt's Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk and Honey Body Lotion 70g which sounds and smells amazing! Can't wait to try this.

The next product is Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum 10ml, this also appears to be aimed more at drier skin types so we'll see how I go with this. It says to apply it am and pm before your moisturiser.

I got quite excited about this next item as it is a lip balm and as some of you may already know I have a lip balm addiction! It's the Figs and Rouge Cherry and Vanilla Balm and this can be used not only on the lips but also on your body if you have any dry areas. It smells gorgeous and will definately be something I'll use a lot. This item is also full size.

Lastly I got the Inika Cosmetics Certified Organic Eye Liner in the shade 12 Purple Minx, I was really pleased that I got the purple one because I don't own a purple eyeliner and I can't wait to try it! However when I swatched it on my hand it rubbed off quite easily so we'll see how long it lasts on my eyes.

I have to say I'm really pleased with this months box, I'm very impressed with getting three full size items and I can't wait to try everything!

What did you get in your box? I love to find out what everyone else got so let me know!

Primark and New Look Haul!

I took my mum on a little shopping trip to Derby yesterday, I had no intention of buying anything.......but I came home with this!

I swear I just can't help myself when it comes to Primark, they have so many gorgeous things I could have bought so much more so this is me being restrained lol

The first thing I got was this lilac sheer blouse which I thought was the perfect colour for Spring/Summer and would go perfectly with my mint skinny jeans. This was £10.

Next I got this amazing sheer teal coloured top, I really liked this because of the Aztec print on the front pocket and the back of this top. I also like the high low hem line and for £6 I thought it was a bargain!

I absolutely love this sleeveless blouse and yes I have gone mad for sheer tops, it's a gorgeous blush pink colour and it also has the high low hem line. This was £8.

Then I saw this teal t-shirt which is kind of distressed and see through which I thought would look nice with a black vest top underneath, it's just something easy to wear with jeans when I'm messing about with my little boy and it was only £4.

I didn't really need another pair of sandals but I saw these and I had to have them. I love leopard print, it's my favourite print and for £6 I just could not say no.

I got a pair of these about two years ago and I wore them to death so I thought I'd get a new pair. I got these for the ridiculous price of £2.50, how crazy is that?!

After hitting Primark hard (we were in there over an hour) we went to New Look and as I was looking through the sale items I stumbled upon this little beauty.

As I said earlier I'm a sucker for leopard print and I really liked the style of this top, it's a sleeveless t-shirt with really long arm holes, the material has tiny holes in it so you would need to wear a vest underneath. Again I thought this would look great with jeans for a casual daytime look and it was reduced from £16 to £8 so I got it for half price!

I need to stay away from Primark for a while before I spend every penny I've got in there, let me know what you think about the things I bought, I love reading your comments!

Essie's Poppy Razzi Collection!

Omg! I have just seen this nail polish collection online and I had to do a blog post on it because it looks amazing!

It's the new summer collection from Essie called the Poppy Razzi Collection and it consists of four gorgeous neon colours.

The colours starting from the top are

Lights - a neon fuchsia
Camera - a neon coral red
Action - a neon tangerine
Bazooka - a neon orange

I love these colours! I don't actually own any Essie polishes yet so these could well be my first ones.

What do think? Do you love them? Let me know!

Daytime Holiday Outfit!

Here's another look that I put together for my holiday, I thought this would look great worn in the daytime if we go for a walk out somewhere.

I love the peacock feather print top and I think this and the shorts would look great worn over a bikini, the sandals look really comfortable, perfect for walking and the bag is just the right size to hold everything I need.

Let me know what you think! :)

Topshop Lipstick!

When I think about Topshop the first thing that springs to mind is not makeup however I have seen so many posts about how good Topshop makeup is that I had to give it a try so I decided to start by trying a lipstick.

Topshop have a great range of lipstick shades to choose from so it was quite tricky to pick one but I decided to go for Brighton Rock as I didn't own anything like this and it's gorgeous!

Brighton Rock is a bright fuchsia pink lipstick with a satin matte finish and I absolutely love it!
It was £8 which I think is pretty reasonable considering Revlon Lip Butters and L'Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks are around the same price.

Overall I'm really pleased with my first Topshop makeup purchase and I'll definately be going back for more! Has anyone else got any Topshop makeup? What do you think of it? Do you like the shade I chose?
Let me know :)

Holiday Outfit Ideas!

With the weather here in the UK being so horrible at the moment I thought I'd cheer myself up by looking at outfit ideas for my holiday, we're only going to Spain but I can't wait as we haven't been on a proper holiday since before I was pregnant with my son which was 2009.

A shop I've been loving lately is Dorothy Perkins, I can't quite decide if their stuff has got better or if it's because I've got older lol

I thought this outfit would be really nice for going out for dinner in the evening, we're going at the end of September so it won't be really hot which is why I thought jeans would be good and I really like the sheer blouse with the high low hem line. To finish it off I love these wedges, even though they look super high because they're a wedge they're probably a lot more comfortable than they look and the tan colour goes with most other colours so I'd get a lot of wear out of them and I just thought the bag was really cute :)

What do you guys think? Do you like these items? Is anyone else loving Dorothy Perkins at the moment or is it just me? Let me know!

Weekend Away and Asda Playsuit!

Hi Ladies!

I've been away for a long weekend and I just thought I'd give you a little update of what I've been doing. We went to my husbands cousins wedding in New Milton and it was lovely!

They got married at Highcliffe Castle which was absolutely beautiful.

Here's my little man in his wedding outfit :)

The next day we went to the beach at Mudeford Quay.

We had a really nice time but it was good to come home especially when I went shopping today and found this little beauty in Asda!

I thought this playsuit was so cute, it's purple with orange and turquoise leopard print and pink flowers and for £14 I thought it would be perfect for summer and holidays. It's V-neck in the front and crosses over at the back and it has a drawstring waist so you can cinch it in as tight as you want. I love it, what do you think? Let me know! :)

Superdrug Makeup Haul!

Ok so I was killing time before my hair appointment, not intending to buy anything and I made the fatal error of going in to Superdrug.
Big mistake lol I ended up buying five things that I really didn't need but I did get one of them free so that does make me feel a little better.

The first thing I picked up was the Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream in the shade Fairy Cake 3. I've seen loads of blog posts about these and I really wanted to give one a try.

I love the shade I chose, it looks gorgeous on and it smells really sweet and yummy, I'm not going to say any more about this now because I'm going to do a full review when I've put it through it's paces a bit more but first impressions are I love it!

Superdrug have got an offer on at the moment where you can buy two Collection 2000 lip products priced at £2.99 for £4.99 so you save 99p so I thought I'd take advantage and try a different lip gloss.

So I went for the Lock N Hold Lipgloss in the shade Break Dance 4 which is a gorgeous bright coral, again I won't say too much as I'll review it fully in another post but I love the colour although I'm not convinced about the upto 6 hour wear claim.

The next thing that caught my eye was the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, I've heard loads of good things about this foundation and although I really didn't need a new one I had to try it, especially when they were giving away a free mascara when you spent £9.99 on Rimmel makeup, I'm a sucker for a deal.

I haven't had chance to try this yet so I've no idea if I like it or not and I'm also not sure if I got the right shade, I got 103 True Ivory which is the second lightest shade and I think I may have needed the lightest but we'll see what it looks like when I use it. This was £8.99 so I needed to spend £1 more to get the free mascara which is why I bought my next item, a Rimmel Soft Kohl Eye Liner Pencil in 021 Denim Blue.

The only reason I bought this was to get the free mascara but I do love wearing navy blue eyeshadow so I think I'll get a lot of use out of this, especially for lining under my lower lash line, it cost £2.99.

And last but not least is the free mascara which is the Rimmel Volume Flash Scandaleyes Mascara in 001 Black.

This is worth £6.99 so I was pretty chuffed to get this free and it looks like it'll be good just from looking at the brush, it's really big and the formula looks very similar to my favourite mascara L'oreal Volume Million Lashes. I let you know how I got on with this!

Overall I'm really pleased with my haul, I may have got stuff that I don't need but I did save myself £7.98! I'm going away over the weekend as we have a family wedding so I'll hopefully be able to test out most of these products then.

Have you tried any of these products? Did you like them? Let me know!

OPI AVOJUICE Skin Quenchers!

I'd never tried the OPI AVOJUICE before but when I placed the nail polish order that I posted about in my Nail Polish Haul! they very kindly sent me some to try out and I absolutely love them!

The OPI AVOJUICE Skin Quenchers are hand and body lotions, this is what OPI say about them
" Discover happy skin in a bottle, bursting with naturally hydrating essences, for silkier, smoother, more touchable skin"
They definately leave your skin feeling silkier and smoother but it's the scent of these that I just fell in love with, I've never smelt any lotion that smells as good as these, although I don't think the smell matches the names for example Ginger Lily doesn't smell anything like ginger but that really doesn't matter to me because they smell so good!

Ginger Lily
Candy Cane
Cran & Berry

I got sent Ginger Lily which I can only describe as smelling like fruity sweets, it smells so yummy that you could almost eat it!
Cran & Berry smells like yummy summer berries, it contains extracts of cranberry, blueberry, raspberry and strawberry and this is my favourite of the three, I love it!
Candy Cane is a limited edition Christmas scent and it smells like sweet peppermint which I really like and it has a really subtle sparkle in it that just leaves your skin with a little shimmer which is nice for a night out or special occasion, I'm sure they probably bring out this scent every year.

Top left going clockwise is Candy Cane, Ginger Lily and Cran & Berry

They come in a 30ml bottle which is perfect for your handbag and at around £2.50 isn't a bad price and a 200ml bottle which is around £9.

They come in a range of different scents and I'm really keen to try more of them.

The ones I haven't tried yet are Raspberry Violet, Peach, Jasmine, Crisp Apple, Mango and Grapefruit. I think I want to try Peach next, what do you think? Have any of you ever tried these before? If you have what did you think?
