Revlon Lip Butter Sweet Tart Review & New Lip Butters For Spring 2013

Hi Ladies!

I'm a big fan of Revlon Lip Butters particularly in the spring/summer and the latest one I've bought is Sweet Tart which is a gorgeous bright pink.

The formulation of Lip Butters is so creamy they just glide on to your lips and leave them feeling like your wearing a lip balm rather than a lipstick.

Sweet Tart goes on a little more sheer than it looks in the tube but it gives a lovely colour pay off which is perfect for wearing in summer and would look gorgeous with tanned skin.

Because the Lip Butters are very hydrating I find I do need to re-apply every hour or so but that doesn't put me off them at all as I'm always applying lip balm anyway.

Revlon have released four new shades of the Lip Butters for Spring 2013 and I'm dying to get my hands on them.

The new shades are Pink Lemonade, Sorbet, Juicy Papaya and Wild Watermelon, I'm loving the look of Sorbet and Wild Watermelon and will definitely be picking those up next time I'm in Boots.

Revlon Lip Butters are £7.99 and are available to buy from Boots.

What's your favourite Lip Butter shade? Let me know.

Guest Post - Trendy Travel Must Haves For Mums

Hi Ladies!

Today I have a guest post from a lovely lady called Kendra Thornton who is a travel advocate, PR business woman, proud wife and mother of 3. Here's how she describes herself

"I am a long time travel expert who has been packing my bags and traveling the world since I was 3 months old! I've found my utmost desire in life is right here in my own home. I have taken my excitement for travel and brought it to you with some of my favorite travel tips and tricks."

I thought a post about trendy travel must haves for mums would be perfect for this time of the year when everyone is preparing to set of on their holidays this summer, hope you enjoy reading!

Trendy Travel Must-Haves For Moms

Traveling moms know that it's important to think of everything before going on an adventure with children. Having gadgets and gear to make your life easy is also advisable. Vacationing with your family is important for relaxing and having fun, but if you aren't prepared, it can be a disaster. Here are a few trendy items that will make traveling easier and less stressful for moms everywhere

GPS Luggage Tags

Technology has made it possible to trace your luggage wherever in the world it may end up. You don't want to think that your luggage could get lost, but seasoned travelers know that the unthinkable can always happen. Use GPS tags, like Go Codes, so that your luggage can be found if it ends up missing. This will make everything easier for you and the airline.

Trendy Backpack

A backpack can make traveling easier when you have little ones to tend to. Hands-free bags allow you to use your hands for more important things. Cute messenger bags or large purses can often put a strain on your shoulder and slip and slide as you maneuver through the airport.  With a backpack, the weight is distributed evenly to prevent injuries. You are also able to feed your kids, carry more items and hold hands as you navigate your new city. The Everlane backpacks are chic, sturdy and large enough for all of your important items.

Picking Your Destination

Picking a child friendly destination that will still provide lots of fun for mom and dad can be difficult if you don’t know where to start. Begin by doing some research.  The New York Times, for example, just released the top 46 Places to go in 2013, which lists cities and islands that span 6 continents.  If you’re looking for something a bit more local, try using the Internet to narrow your search.  When my family traveled to Oahu, listed as number 16 on the must-see list, we were able to pick a family friendly hotel in Honolulu that offered a great kids club for the children and a spectacular spa for myself.  Picking your accommodations as well as your destination is key to family fun all around.

Beach Bunnies to Match

Whether you’re a long time advocate of mother-child matching or a staunch naysayer, the swimwear available for this summer is too cute to pass up. Whether it be two paisley swimsuits or just coordinating colors, it is worth looking into this list of must have beach attire. JCrew, Lily Pullizter and H&M all have coordinating colors and styles to make your family’s time vacation truly picture perfect.

Blanket For Air Travel

A cute blanket for travel is essential for moms and their little ones.  Blankets that fold into a neat pouch are the best because you can clip them on your carry on to conserve space. This bag from Miamica is trendy, soft and pink ensuring you will fall in love with again and again. And with their cute “Upgrade me” stitching you might just get lucky!

Hope that helps make travelling a little easier for us Mums, I love the GPS luggage tags, I had no idea you could get those!

Thanks for writing a great post Kendra!

Balance Me Radiance Face Oil Review!

Hi Ladies!

Today I'll be reviewing a product by the brand Balance Me, for those of you that haven't heard of this brand let me tell you a little about them. Balance Me was founded in 2005 by two sisters Rebecca and Clare Hopkins, they made products in their kitchen until they were spotted by a leading high street retailer. They were joined by Sian Jones and Balance Me is now sold in hundreds of leading high street retailers and independent stockists. They only use natural ingredients and have won over 20 awards for their products so far.
They very kindly sent me the Radiance Face Oil to try but having oily skin I wasn't sure I was going to like putting oil on my face although it is suitable for all skin types, however while I was pregnant my skin dried out considerably so the face oil was actually perfect. My skin became very dull and almost grey looking while I was pregnant (so much for the pregnant glow lol) and using this face oil really gave it a boost and made it look a lot more healthy and glowing.

The Radiance Face Oil feeds skin lacking in lustre with a blend of skin boosting and smoothing ingredients. It is suitable for all skin types even congested skin, apply two drops morning and night before your moisturiser, warming the oil in your palms first. Use gentle circular movements to help clear toxins, enhance circulation, boost cell renewal and make your skin radiant.

You can buy the Radiance Face Oil from the Balance Me website, it's £30 for 30ml or £15 for 10ml. As you only use two drops at a time I think 30ml will last you a long time and if your skin is looking dull and tired then this is the product for you.

Laynie Bug Designs Review

Hi Ladies!

Today I'm reviewing some gorgeous little headbands that I bought for my baby girl Summer from Laynie Bug Designs. I was so pleased when my package arrived as everything was wrapped up beautifully with a lovely little note from Melissa who makes all the headbands and bows herself.

I ordered 2 white headbands in sizes 0-3 and 3-6 months and then I ordered 5 bows to clip on to the headbands. I chose red, navy, white, pale pink and hot pink bows.

Each bow comes with a clip on the back which clips on to a little loop on the headbands so you can match the colour of your bow to your outfit.

The headbands and bows come in a wide range of colours and sizes and she also makes headbands with flowers on. I absolutely love the headbands I ordered and they look adorable on Summer, she wears one nearly everyday and I'll definitely be ordering more.

You can order from Laynie Bug Designs through the Facebook Page, the headbands are $1.50 each (without a bow) and the bows are $4 each. I can definitely see myself ordering bows in every colour as I love them so much, I might get some different coloured headbands too!

Mummy Mondays - Summer's Newborn Photo Shoot

Hi Ladies!

I can't quite believe it but my little girl is already 7 weeks old :( it's gone so fast and because we knew that Summer would not be a newborn for long we decided to book a newborn photo shoot. We found a great photographer called Kay Oliver and we organised the shoot to take place when Summer was 9 days old.

The photo shoot went really smoothly, Kay came to our house and spent 3 hours with us so I had plenty of time to take breaks for feeds etc, the photos are absolutely beautiful and I'm so glad we had them done as Summer no longer looks like a newborn and now we have these photos to treasure forever.

Here's a few of my favourite pictures.

Macadamia Healing Oil Spray Review

Hi Ladies!

Everyone seems to have gone mad for hair oils lately and I've heard lots of great things about Macadamia Natural Oil products. I've been dying to try some for ages so when I was asked to try the Healing Oil Spray I was more than happy to give it a go.

Macadamia Natural Oil products contain macadamia nut oil and argan seed oil which used together creates products that heal, nourish and revitalise even the most problematic hair types. They also protect the hair from harmful UV rays whilst repairing hair follicles for improved elasticity and shine.

The Healing Oil Spray is an ultra fine mist that instantly absorbs into hair infusing moisture and shine without leaving your hair feeling greasy.

It claims to leave a long lasting tangle and frizz free finish, leave your hair incredibly shiny and managable, extend colour treatment life and provide natural UV protection.

I was really impressed after trying the Healing Oil Spray, I have quite dry hair which is colour treated with bleach and it never really looks that shiny. I definitely noticed that my hair was much more soft, shiny and it smells amazing! I'd recommend it to anyone as it's suitable for all hair types.

You can buy the Macadamia Healing Oil Spray from the Macadamia website, it comes in two sizes 125ml which is £23.50 or 60ml which is £14.90. You don't need to use a lot of this product so it would probably last a long time.

The next Macadamia product on my wishlist is the Deep Repair Masque as I love a good deep conditioner and I've heard this one is amazing! Let me know if you've tried this.
